UAE New Golden Visa rules Announced: The United Arab Emirates has approved new executive regulations related to Federal Decree-Law on Entry and Residence of Foreigners. The updated entry and residence rules announced by the Emirati Cabinet offers 10 types of entry visas with simplified requirements.
These rules aim at retaining and attracting global talent, increasing the competitiveness and flexibility of the job market and fostering a sense of stability among residents of the nation. The new rules were also put out by the UAE government, which comprises seven sheikhdoms, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, in a Twitter post. Check the post here:

According to the government, the new rules will make it easier to meet 10 types of entry visas with more benefits and requirements. New visas do not require a host or sponsor.
Here are the different types of visas that the UAE now offers:
UAE New Golden Visa for Golden Residence
This long 10 year residence visa is issued to exceptional talents, investors, top students and graduates, entrepreneurs, humanitarian pioneers, scientists and professionals and leading heroes.
Amendments to the scheme allow Golden Residence visa holders to sponsor their family members regardless of age. Support services can finance (domestic) workers without any limit on their number. There are no restrictions on the maximum period of stay outside the UAE for a visa to be valid.
Gold accommodation for exceptional talents
Residence visas are issued only to those who excel in important fields such as sports, arts, digital technology, culture, regardless of educational qualifications, professional status or monthly salary. This residence requires a recommendation from a local or federal government agency.
Gold Residence for Scientists | UAE New Golden Visa
The residence is offered to scientists and researchers with doctoral or postgraduate degrees in life sciences, natural sciences, engineering, technology and the world’s best universities. Applicants must also have significant research achievements. Visas are issued on the recommendation of the Emirates Scientists Council.
Gold Residence for Professionals
This type of residence visa is subject to massive change. Applicants must be classified into first or second career positions and must have a valid employment contract with Emirates to qualify. The minimum educational qualification to apply for a visa is a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, while the monthly salary must be above AED30,000.
Gold Residence for Real Estate Investors
If real estate investors buy a property worth at least AED2 million, they can get a Golden Residence. Under the new amendments introduced in the scheme, investors can also get gold flats if they buy property with loans taken from specific local banks.
Gold Residence for Entrepreneurs
Obtaining approval for a start-up idea from the Ministry of Economy, competent local authorities or an official business incubator is sufficient to obtain a Golden Residence. The start-up registered in the UAE in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) category must be an entrepreneur partner or owner, and the company must earn at least AED1 million in annual revenue.Golden Visa for top students and graduates
Visas are issued to high performing students in the high schools of the United Arab Emirates and to the best graduates from the top 100 universities in the country or around the world. It includes specific criteria based on academic performance, university classification, graduation year and more.
New residential types with unparalleled benefits
A new 5 year residential route, as well as benefits for family members and longer flexible offer periods are offered.
Green housing for talented staff
Employees who do not have a sponsor or employer can get a 5 year residency if they have a valid employment contract. According to the Ministry of Human Resources and Immigration, eligible applicants should be classified into third, second or first career positions.
Green housing for freelancing and self-employment
These amendments allow a freelancer or self-employed person to obtain a 5-year residency path, even if they have a freelance / self-employment permit and no sponsor or employer.
